Horizons

For over 40 years, Horizons School was a small, independent, democratic k-12 boarding and day school in a verdant nook in downtown Atlanta. The school meant a lot of things to a lot of people. (For a personal testimony from Sally Turnage Gustin, click here.)

In June of 2017, Horizons School closed its doors for the final time. Its assets were liquidated. The extant board members used those assets to form a new non-profit organization called The Community Corps, dedicated to furthering the values of Horizons School in Atlanta and other communities.

Horizons will never truly cease to exist, however, while its alumni and academic and administrative “family” keep it in their hearts (or in their digital photo albums!).
